From September to December, Mantua hosts the Virgilian Autumn, a series of events designed to introduce all participants to the Mantuan poet.
On October 17th, Aeneas’s Route will participate in the event with the theatrical performance “The Arrival of Virgil,” based on the novel “The Death of Virgil” by Hermann Broch.
A journey between history and imagination through the story of the poet’s last day in Brindisi. The performance is based on an idea by Giovanni Cafiero and directed by Cinzia Maccagnano. It stars Raffaele Gangale as the poet and Andrea Sirianni as Emperor Augustus. Performers: Luna Marongiu and Cristina Putignano. Music: Ecovanavoce. Costumes: Monica Mancini.
