The Aeneas Route Association a partner in Bacoli’s candidacy project for Italian Capital of Culture 2028, presented on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Casina Vanvitelliana.
Bacoli is a city made of stories, colors, voices, and dreams. A unique territory: marked by bradyseism, guardian of a millennia-old history, and above all, rich in archaeology and natural landscapes of extraordinary beauty. The candidacy is a journey that enhances not only its history, but also its creativity, sense of community, and vision for the future.
The Aeneas Route Association supports this challenge with the shared intent of building a city where culture is everyone’s home, where the legacy of Virgil and the journey of Aeneas, leaving an indelible trace, continue to tell the values of integration and the blending of civilizations.
Between sea, myth, and light, Bacoli is preparing to write a new chapter, thanks to the associations, the people, and the ideas that project it toward an important social, cultural, and environmental regeneration. The acrostic coined for the occasion summarizes its aims:
