On 20 October 2025, on the initiative of the Route of Aeneas, a full day of meetings was held in Istanbul, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute directed by Salvatore Schirmo, in collaboration with the National Archaeological Museum directed by Rahmi Asal, Koç University and IULM University, and under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye.
After a visit to the Trojan rooms in the National Archaeological Museum led by Director Rahmi Asal, ANAMED hosted an international seminar on Cultural Routes in Italy and Turkey with the participation of Vie di Leonardo and Iter Vitis. The seminar was introduced by greetings from Asım Evren Yanyaç of Koç University, Selda Taşcı, Deputy Director for the Province of Istanbul of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, and Andrea Balletta of the Italian Cultural Institute. Speakers included archaeologist and publisher Nezih Başgelen and Fabio Pagano, Director of the Phlegraean Fields Archaeological Park.
The seminar concluded with screenings of the videos ‘AINEID’ by Fabio Morotti and ‘The Route of Aeneas from Troy to Rome, The Birth of an Empire’ by Vedat Anasoy.
